CHS Container Group continues to expand in the US: New location opened in Monroe, North Carolina
The CHS Container Group from Bremen is continuing to expand its presence in the North American market. Following the successful launch of its first US location in Memphis, Tennessee, last year, the international container service provider is now opening its second location within twelve months in Monroe, North Carolina. The new CHS Container Carolinas LLC branch is expected to create around 30 new jobs over the next five years.
Monroe was deliberately chosen as the location: the region offers a strong logistics infrastructure, economic growth, and a committed labor market. From here, container trading, rental, and modification for North and South Carolina will be coordinated.
The facility in Monroe (2203 Stafford St Ext) is already in operation and offers local companies access to new and used shipping containers, including customizations such as doors, windows, or electrical systems. The CHS Container Group focuses on flexible and economical container solutions for warehouses, offices, or workshops that help reduce fixed costs.
Sustainability also plays a major role in the expansion: discarded shipping containers are refurbished and given a second life – which not only conserves resources but also reduces CO₂ emissions.
Founded in Bremen in 1978, the CHS Container Group now has 13 locations in over 10 countries and serves customers worldwide, including Siemens, Deutsche Bahn, and the German Armed Forces. With its combination of German reliability and American innovation, the CHS Container Group sees North America as an important key to further growth.
